Responsibilities:
- Lead the South Africa office as the primary on the ground leadership presence, owning how the office operates day to day.
- Drive alignment and consistency across Player Support, Compliance, and shared support functions.
- Set and uphold high standards for people leadership, performance management, and culture across teams.
- Identify cross team operational, structural, and people related gaps, and turn these into clear improvement plans.
- Lead and scale shared support functions including Workforce Management, Training & Development, and Workplace Experience.
- Partner closely with UK stakeholders to ensure strong alignment between strategy and local execution.
- Act as the central point for office-wide decisions across people, operations, and workplace matters.
- Support planning for office growth, org design, and future capability build-out.
- Work cross-functionally with People, Finance, and Tax to ensure the office operates consistently and compliantly.
- Leverage technology, automation, and AI to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Proven experience leading multi-functional or matrix organisations, beyond a single team environment, with a track record of building, scaling, or stabilising operational hubs or office environments.
- Strong operational judgement with the ability to identify, assess, and prioritise high-impact business challenges.
- Demonstrated experience conducting and leading operational gap analyses across people, processes, systems, tools, and organisational structures.
- Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders with competing priorities in a complex business environment.
- Experience creating alignment, consistency, and collaboration across teams with differing objectives and ways of working.
- Solid understanding of workforce management, training and development, and quality assurance functions, and their role in supporting scalable operations.
- Hands-on leadership style with a proven ability to build trust, foster a high-performance culture, and take ownership of business outcomes.
